Vibeout NFC · v0.3.14 · proof of concept
Write a link to an NFC sticker. Read it back.
An Android app for writing a URL to an NFC tag — a sticker, a card, a key fob — and reading back whatever is stored on one. It is an experiment: built to find out what a phone can and cannot do with NFC tags, before anything bigger is built on top of it.

What it does
Write a URL to a tag
Type an address, tap Write, hold a tag to the phone. A bare example.com gets its https:// added, and a live byte count tells you whether it fits the cheapest sticker chip.
Read back anything on a tag
URLs, text, Android app launchers, Smart Posters and other records — plus the chip's unique ID and the radio technologies it speaks.
Errors you can act on
Tag moved away too soon, URL too big for the chip, tag locked, tag type the phone cannot write — each one is a sentence, not a stack trace.
No account, no server
The NFC screen opens straight away and works entirely on the phone. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Worth knowing
A proof of concept, not a product
It exists to find the limits of NFC on a phone before building on it. Expect rough edges, and do not rely on it for anything that matters.
It cannot lock a tag yet
A sticker written with it can be overwritten by anyone with an NFC app. Locking, passwords and anti-cloning chips are the known next step.
Android only, for now
An iPhone build needs a Mac and a paid Apple developer account, and has not been made. MIFARE Classic cards do not work on many Samsung and Pixel phones.
Installed by hand, not from a store
The APK is signed with a development key. Android will ask you to allow installs from your browser or file manager, and Play Protect may warn on first install.

SHA-256 checksums
Verify with sha256sum on Linux or
Get-FileHash in PowerShell. The builds are unsigned, so this is
the only way to confirm you have the file that was actually published.
