DIY Platform · v0.2.1

Build projects with agents that can actually do the work.

A desktop workbench for building software — terminals, git, run scripts and a knowledge graph of your own code, with AI agents that work alongside you in the same panes rather than in a separate chat window off to the side.

What's inside

Agents with real tools

Terminal panes, a git client, run scripts and a knowledge graph of your own code — an agent working here can act, not just suggest a diff.

One workbench, many kinds of projects

Web apps, Cloudflare functions, hardware sketches, audio tools. The same app, not a different one per stack you happen to be using this week.

A knowledge graph of your own code

Every project gets a searchable graph of its files, functions and history, so an agent — or you — can ask what calls this instead of grepping for it.

Hand off a terminal, take it back

Start a session yourself, hand it to an agent mid-task, or watch one work in a pane you can type into at any point. Nothing is agent-only or human-only.

Worth knowing

Most of it runs on your machine

The editor, git, terminal sessions and your project's files are local. AI agent calls, and anything you choose to publish, talk to a server.

Workers AI is included by default

No key, no account, no cost to try it. Bring your own Claude, GPT or Gemini key from a project's AI settings if you want a different model.

The platform the rest of this page grew out of

WhisperKey, Lookout, Audio Engine and Vibe Builder all started as something built inside DIY Platform first, before becoming their own apps.

The Windows build is real, not cross-compiled

Built on an actual Windows machine in CI, not cross-compiled from Linux. It's still unsigned, though — no code-signing certificate, so SmartScreen will warn on first run.
